There is concerning evidence that LGBTQIA students at educational institutions often suffer bullying because of their gender identity and/or sexuality. Besides, research indicates that educators regularly fail to take action in the face of anti-LGBT bias and are often not equipped to address these issues. This may lead to several negative consequences for them, from bad academic performance to mental health issues. The good news is that there are things that teachers and schools can do to help LGBTQIA kids to face these issues and be true allies.

As part of my process of dealing with my complex trauma I have started making zines. These zines help me to work on different aspects of my trauma. In this sense they have a therapeutic function for me. My inspiration has been a text by Meg-John Barker in their blog about zines ("All About Zines"). Zines allow me to reflect on my process, and to share this specific part of my process with other people. However, my zines are still very personal and, after all, written mainly for myself.

I am a trainer with a focus on trans, non-binary and related identities, gender and gender justice, and trauma and self-care in activism. I am trained as a trainer in nonviolent conflict transformation, but I have also trained in queering identities, gender identity and sexual orientation, gender equality, and trauma and self-care issues. I have been doing trainings for 25 years, and have experience with trainings on a variety of topics in many countries, in Europe, Asia, and Latin America. My trainings are based on popular education principles and have a focus on small group work and the participants' own experiences. I do not believe in frontal format and long presentations. I mainly do in-person trainings in Spanish or English.

Trans* and non-binary survivors of sexual abuse in Spain: let's organise! I am a non-binary trans survivor of childhood sexual abuse. And there are many of us in Spain, although I don't know of any research that talks about us. According to the US NGO FORGE, between 50% and 66% of trans* people have experienced sexual abuse or violence at least once in their lives, many several times. Between 47,430 and 950,000 people in Spain are trans* and non-binary, and between 25,000 and 475,000 are trans* and non-binary survivors of sexual abuse. We are not a small minority, but there are no specific services for us, nor specific materials in Spanish. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Or, do you know of any specific resources for us?

The Genderbread Person has been around for quite a while as a nice tool to explain gender, sex, and sexual orientation. This is my attempt to create version 6.0, which includes some improvements compared to version 4.0 and my own version 5.0.
